Little Ljubljana was only five years old when she lost her mother in a tragic accident. Her mother loved the color blue more than anything, and in their grief, the family searched for a way to honor her memory. They found rare seeds of a deep blue rose in Holland, and Ljubljana planted them all in the exact spot where her mother used to enjoy the summer sun.
What happened next is something few adults would believe—but little Ljubljana knew it in her heart all along.
From those seeds, a single, magnificent blue rose emerged. It didn't grow like a normal flower; within six months, it had become a towering tree. On the first anniversary of her mother's passing, Ljubljana had a dream. She saw the rose reaching far above the clouds, and there, in the brilliant blue petals, she saw her mother—happy, peaceful, and watching over her.
The sorrow remains, but Ljubljana planted a seed in her own mind: Her mother is always there, looking after both the blue rose and her little girl.
Life is fragile. We must live it with the same intensity as Ljubljana.
