In my childhood, shellfish were a gift from the heavens. Today, they leak the oil of our own negligence. In this frame, the aesthetic explosion of my Italian DNA meets the dark reality of the Norwegian fjords. The vibrant colors are a mask for a tragedy: the food chain has been washed out.
When fish are forced to hunt seagulls, the natural order has collapsed under the weight of "self-control" and corporate greed. We are crossing lines we cannot see underwater, guided only by the blind eyes of parliamentary offices. "Self-control" equals zero control. As my grandfather said: Never foul your own well, for it leads to sickness and worse.
The profit is recorded, but the debt to the ocean is overdue.
